On May 9th, Clarivate Analytics released the latest data for May 2024 from the ESI. There are 458 universities in mainland China that have disciplines ranked among the top 1% worldwide. SUES is placed 236th out of all the universities in Mainland China, giving it a percentile rank of 51.98%; globally, SUES is ranked 2452nd, which is a rise of 173 places since March 2024, with an international percentile rank of 27.19%. The total number of published research papers is 6672, with an additional 93 papers, and the total number of citations is 75070, with an addition of 2820 citations.
ESI is one of the key evaluation tools widely used worldwide to assess the international academic level and influence of universities, academic institutions, countries, or regions. The data for this release covers the period from January 1, 2014, to February 29, 2024. As of now, SUES has disciplines in engineering, materials science, and chemistry ranked among the top 1% globally in ESI, with global rankings of 736th, 618th, and 1069th respectively. Compared to March 2024, this represents an increase of 43 places, 47 places, and 89 places respectively
